Session: A strategic plan serves a number of important purposes for any library: a pathway for the future, but also an opportunity to present the importance of our work in the context of our parent organisation. In today's climate, it also offers a useful tool for guiding resource allocation. But perhaps of even greater importance than the plan is the process through which it is prepared. This workshop will explore approaches to stakeholder mapping, environmental scanning, scenario development and strategic planning. Participants will gather a range of useful , practical skills and insights, and will work through a brief case-study.
